I'm a bit behind the eight ball on this one as the exhibition has ended but still wanted to share anyway. I recently made this softie of Roald Dahl's Matilda for an exhibition organised by my friends Sarah Day and Torsten Pfiel (Dirge) called EX LIBRIS, from the library of...
The show was held at Snug Gallery and was timed to correspond with International Literacy Day, and in conjunction with the exhbition was also a book sale to raise funds for Room to Read. I found the theme of books quite hard as there are so many choices but ended up going for a nostalgic angle! I loved Roald Dahl's books as a kid and feel like there might be more softies to come from this as I have just finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to my 5 year old. I definitely had a lot of fun making this one.

Hi Evie, this is so bad - I think this message is like 8 months old but I never check out my website very often lol! for some reason it didn't notify me in my emails. Thank you for the message!! I do have plans for more characters if I can find the time. Am loving your 100 day project paintings and can't wait to see what you decided to do with them all xx
